This project is a renovation of a heritage residential building in Toronto.

Main challenges in designing this project was achieving the program with respect to the heritage requirements.

The front of the building is part of a larger collective condition, requiring careful and minimal intervention. To respond responsibly, alteration at the front is restrained  and additions were directed to the rear.

The programs main objectives were interior ceiling height increase as well as future family considerations. Under the guidance of technical lead and principal designer, I achieved the full program and designed with full consideration of existing structure and construction.

Application of proposed minor variances was supported by committee of adjustment as well and heritage conservation.
